Hsv.rb

Hsv.rb is a users group for Ruby and Rails enthusiasts in the Huntsville, Alabama area. The group has just been formed, and we’re currently working on building up the online community before making any decisions about meeting locations or topics. If you’re a Rubyist anywhere in the North Alabama area, please join us. Thanks to Philip Reed for getting the ball rolling on this!

    Hmmm, I’m a little gun-shy about switching from WordPress to anything Rails-based after my experience with trying (unsuccessfully) to get Typo to work on my shared hosting account last year (chronicled here and here). But I will check it out!

    I wouldn’t say it’s been unmitigated blogging bliss for me. It has been a good way to learn Rails, but it does lack some features, and I have had a few glitches getting it going on RailsPlayground.

    I’m trusting my professional site to it now and the creator and several others swear it works all the time in production for them, but I’m still keeping an eye on it.
